Chabad of SE Morris County will be hosting both indoor and oudoor social distanced High Holiday services that are open to all. Services will be held at The Madison Hotel 1 Convent Road in Convent Station.
Services are open to the entire community, with both Hebrew and English prayers, a friendly and welcoming environment, and a lively commentary accompanying the service led by Rabbi Mendy Lubin.
Rosh Hashanah indoor services will be held Tuesday September 7th and Wednesday September 8th beginning at 10:00am. Yom Kippur services will be held on Wednesday evening September 15th at 7:00 pm and Thursday September 16th beginning at 10:00 am.
Outdoor Shofar Blowing will take place on Tuesday September 7th and Wednesday September 8th at 5:30 pm.
“When I am at Chabad for the High Holidays the services come alive and I feel connected to my Jewish roots,” said Jen Goodman of Chatham.
There are no membership fees or tickets needed for the High Holiday services, donations are much appreciated and help cover the High Holiday expenses.
Chabad is known for its open doors and welcoming atmosphere, which allows anyone in the community to enjoy any program that interests them, whether unaffiliated or a member elsewhere. Chabad believes Judaism should be fun, joyous and easily accessible.
People who attend Chabad’s High Holiday services hail from all different backgrounds and levels of observance. Chabad is not a synagogue, but a Center for Jewish Life. Chabad offers programs and guidance to allow you to nurture your Judaism at your own pace in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
